About Us

We are Cub Scout Pack 86 Chartered by the Bloomingdale Fire Department.

Pack 86 is committed to a community and family centered program where young boys experience a wide range of social activities and challenges that encourage the development of self-responsibility, confidence, and service ethic.

Our mission is to provide boys with the skills and knowledge necessary for them to make wise decisions and to prepare them for a lifetime of leadership.

Did you know that Scouts are more likely to:

  • Assume leadership roles in clubs and schools
  • Put the needs of others before themselves
  • Make the most ethical, not necessarily the easiest, decisions
  • Value education and the environment

Among Scouting alumni:

  • Almost 90% of all Senior Class and Student Council Presidents
  • More than two-thirds of all Rhodes Scholars
  • More than two-thirds of military academy graduates

We would like to invite any prospective Scout and their family to visit a Den or Pack meeting and talk with our leaders and Scouts to learn more about Scouting and our program.

  • Cub Scouting is for boys in the first through fifth grades, have finished kindergarten or are 7 to 10 years of age.
    • Tiger - 1st grade
    • Wolf - 2nd grade
    • Bear - 3rd grade
    • Webelos - 5th and 6th grade
